Our Property

We are located in Black Duck Bay, on Lower Buckhorn Lake, just off County Road 36, 8 Kilometers from Buckhorn or Burleigh Falls. The Buckhorn area is well known for its excellent fishing, art galleries and boating. This beautifully appointed, four season, waterfront cottage/home boasts a magnificent view of the lake and was newly built in 2014.

The cottage main floor has 2 bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and a single bed that sleeps three. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The main floor also has a full 4 pc bath, laundry area with washer and dryer, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, spacious living room with 14 ft. cathedral ceilings, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake and hand scraped hardwood floors. Eat your meals inside or out, at one of the 2 picnic tables, deck table with umbrella, or at the large kitchen table overlooking the lake. Upstairs is the master bedroom with 3 pc. ensuite bath with rainhead shower, great-room loft with satellite TV, stereo and CD/DVD. There is central air conditioning and forced air heat furnace for your comfort. We do offer linens upon request for an additional fee but most guests prefer to bring their own (blankets and duvets supplied). Parking is right at the back door for easy unloading from your car.

Outside, there is a gentle slope to the dock and waters edge making it ideal for children and elders, and those with limited mobility. There is a sand beach with a gentle slope into the water reaching a depth of 5 feet at the end of the dock. The dock is 24 ft. long and can accommodate 2 boats. A 14 ft. aluminum boat, canoe and paddle wheel boat are included in the price. A small outboard motor suitable for an aluminum boat is available at an additional charge of $165.00 per week.
